Title: Ultrasound Technologist General

Schedule: Day Shift 4x10-Hour (07:00 AM 05:00 PM) with block scheduling

Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist General for a 13-week assignment. The ideal candidate must have at least 2 years of ultrasound experience with strong skills across general OB/GYN vascular and renal/pelvis imaging. Proficiency with GE and PACS equipment is preferred. Candidates must hold BLS and ARDMS certifications with additional subspecialty registries strongly preferred (OB/GYN Breast RVT). This assignment requires occasional on-call coverage limited weekend shifts and block scheduling.
Perform general and specialized ultrasound examinations including OB/GYN vascular abdominal and renal/pelvis imaging.
Conduct diagnostic procedures such as biopsies fine-needle aspirations paracentesis and thoracentesis when required.
Prepare patients explain procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort during scans.
Operate ultrasound equipment (GE PACS) and ensure accurate imaging quality.
Collaborate with physicians radiologists and the care team to interpret and deliver diagnostic results.
Maintain accurate records and update patient documentation in Epic or other EMR systems.
Support ER and portable ultrasound procedures as needed.
Follow hospital protocols radiation safety practices and compliance standards.
Experience: Minimum 2 years as an Ultrasound Technologist.
First-time travelers: Accepted.
Patient Ratio: 1:1.
Floating: Not required.
On-Call Requirement: Yes 1 2 nights per week.
Weekend Requirement: Yes occasional weekend coverage.
Block Scheduling: Required.
Hours Approved: 48 hours not approved.
Community Hospital & Trauma Level I experience: Preferred.
Travel Experience: Not required.
Education:
Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
Experience:
At least 2 years of relevant ultrasound experience across multiple modalities.
Previous community hospital and trauma center exposure preferred.
