Job Description
Job Summary:
This Medical Assistant position is a temporary role with the potential for permanent placement located in an outpatient behavioral health clinic. The Medical Assistant will provide clinical and administrative support to the healthcare team utilizing the Epic electronic health record system. Experience in healthcare healthcare terminology and Epic is required. A valid MA-C certification is mandatory; MA-R is not accepted.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting healthcare providers with patient care.
- Performing clinical tasks as directed by licensed medical professionals.
- Maintaining patient records within the Epic system.
- Performing administrative duties such as answering phones and scheduling appointments.
- Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient patient care.
- Adhering to all facility policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Current MA-C certification (MA-R not accepted).
- BLS certification.
- Experience in healthcare including healthcare terminology.
- Proficiency in Epic electronic health record system.
- Reliable transportation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (implied).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Prior experience in an outpatient behavioral health setting.
- Experience with adult outpatient clinics.

Special Considerations:
- This is a temporary position with the potential for permanent placement.
- The ideal candidate will reside within a 50-mile radius of the facility.
- On-call duties are not required.
- Weekend work is not required.
- The candidate must be available for three pre-scheduled interviews.

- 5 x 8-hour days.
