Job Summary:
This role is for a Medical Assistant in a primary care clinic setting. The position requires at least one year of experience in an adult outpatient clinic and involves various clinical and administrative tasks including patient rooming medication administration specimen collection and telephone triage. The position is open to local candidates local travelers and true travelers with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent position after the contract period.
Location: Redmond Washington United States
Responsibilities:
- Rooming patients
- Administering TB tests
- Performing venipuncture and collecting various specimens (urine throat cultures)
- Making follow-up phone calls and handling refill requests
- Performing telephone triage
- Checking blood glucose levels
- Removing sutures
- Assisting with other clinical tasks as needed within the Medical Assistants scope of practice
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in an adult outpatient clinic setting.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification.
- Ability to perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures.
- Proficiency in performing basic clinical tasks such as blood glucose monitoring and suture removal.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with EPIC charting.
Special Considerations:
- Floating to sister clinics is required.
- Guaranteed hours with the possibility of up to one shift called off per pay period.
- Open to local candidates local travelers and true travelers.
- Temp-to-perm opportunity available.
- Return-to-office (RTO) accepted.
- Must be willing to transition to a permanent position if all goes well.
Scheduling:
- Four 10-hour shifts per week (Monday Tuesday Thursday Friday).
- 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM shift.
- Wednesdays off no weekends.
