Job Description

Job Title: Medical Supply Technician Sterile Processing
Location: Fresno VA Medical Center Fresno CA
Contract Type: Full-Time Contract
Number of Openings: 6

Overview

Aroha Technologies is seeking experienced Medical Supply Technicians (MSTs) Sterile Processing to support the Fresno VA Health Care System. MSTs play a critical role in ensuring that reusable medical devices and surgical instruments are properly cleaned sterilized and prepared for patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning decontamination assembly and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment

  • Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves V-Pro washers and ultrasonics in accordance with manufacturer instructions and AAMI AORN FDA and OSHA standards

  • Inspect instruments for damage wear staining or rust before reassembly and packaging

  • Prepare label and maintain sterility of instrument sets until needed

  • Accurately document sterilization cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with facility and national standards

  • Follow all infection control and PPE protocols to prevent cross-contamination

  • Support quality standards by training new staff in sterile processing best practices when required

Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of recent sterile processing experience required

  • Certification and training in sterile processing (CBSPD or IAHCSMM/CRCST preferred)

  • Proficiency in sterile processing procedures and compliance with AAMI AORN FDA and OSHA guidelines

  • Ability to speak read and write English fluently

  • Strong attention to detail safety and quality assurance

  • Ability to work effectively in inpatient outpatient and community living center settings

Schedule
  • Two 8-hour shifts available: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM and 3:00 PM 11:30 PM

  • Monday through Friday coverage; 24/5 operations

  • No on-call holiday or overtime coverage required
