Job Description

As a Senior ServiceNow Developer youll be part of a dynamic team that ensures the platform remains robust scalable and aligned with the evolving needs of our community.

Youll be more than a technical expertyoull be a hands-on problem solver change driver and mentor of small squads of developers leading the way in delivering secure scalable and innovative digital solutions. Be part of a team that works across an enterprise-grade modern tech stack including GitHub Azure DevOps Okta SailPoint AWS/Azure Cloud ServiceNow Microsoft Fabric Dynamics 365 Mulesoft Atlassian (Jira/Confluence) and more. What youll do

  • Design and build scalable reusable ServiceNow solutions including scripting configuration integrations and customisations
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand needs refine scope and manage expectations
  • Work closely with business analysts solution architects and service designers to translate requirements into prototypes and final solutions
  • Create and maintain technical designs specifications and knowledge transfer materials
  • Oversee code / build quality review deployments and enforce development standards
  • Drive DevOps practices to boost efficiency and productivity
  • Provide advanced technical support troubleshoot issues implement bug fixes and perform root cause analysis
  • Ensure platform health through regular maintenance upgrades and secure coding practices
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to agile delivery practices
  • Mentor and guide a talented DevOps team building capability and fostering a culture of innovation collaboration and continuous improvement

What were looking for

  • Extensive experience in senior software development or technical leadership roles that oversee a team of developers from junior to senior
  • ServiceNow certifications like ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certified Application Developer and/or Certified Implementation Specialist in ITSM HRSD or CSM
  • Hands-on development on the ServiceNow platform with a strong track record of delivering scalable and maintainable solutions
  • Skilled in developing Employee Center Portals including custom widgets theming and catalog items to enhance user experience
  • Experience configuring workspaces automated workflows and connecting ServiceNow with external systems
  • Proven ability to manage ServiceNow platform upgrades and cloning activities with minimal disruption
  • Passion and experience in uplifting code quality development standards and CI/CD practices
  • Demonstrated experience diagnosing and resolving issues within the ServiceNow platform including fixing bugs and identifying root causes to keep services running smoothly
  • Able to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

This full-time position is an initial fixed term until October 2027 at a HEW8 Higher Education Level located in the Digital Technology Solutions department at Callaghan Campus.
