We are seeking an Advanced Design Engineer to play a key role in the design and development of future vehicles that meet regulatory requirements and competitive customer expectations. This position focuses on vehicle architecture packaging and early-stage systems/component design while resolving packaging and adaptation issues as vehicles transition toward production.
Key Responsibilities:
Establish physical and functional integration of vehicle systems and components during the concept to program approval phases.
Translate strategic and functional objectives into technical requirements.
Create and analyze alternative design concepts.
Package and integrate systems and components and perform competitive benchmarking.
Lead cross-functional teams to balance requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
Present design concepts to higher levels of management.
Serve as the Chassis System lead responsible for:
Concept development through kinematic/compliance modeling and structural analysis.
Component design and CAE analysis.
Vehicle packaging using NX.
Maintaining model integrity in Teamcenter.
Supporting development activities.
Qualifications :
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited or equivalent).
5 years of vehicle engineering experience in Chassis Systems including at least 2 years in suspension design/development.
Expertise in TeamCenter NX CAD Software and Vis Mockup with ability to:
Develop preproduction and manage production CAD data structures.
Position/manipulate models cut sections and analyze existing designs.
Create and analyze alternative designs and integrate systems/components.
Create CAD sessions for high-level and detailed management reviews.
Strong communication skills to lead issue resolution across regions.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
Results-driven mindset.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited).
Broad vehicle knowledge.
Strong ability to integrate stakeholder requirements into vehicle design.
Proven ability to manage change productively.
Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
Confident presenting ideas and concepts to all levels of management.
Strong MS Office skills (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook).
