Staff Software Engineer

The AI Futures team is a forward-looking hands-on group that accelerates the adoption of generative AI across the platform. We design and build powerful reusable demos agents and proof-of-concepts that drive product feedback customer engagement and field enablement. We partner deeply with product engineering and customer-facing teams to showcase whats possibleand then help make it real. 

As a Staff Software Engineer AI Futures you will play a key role in rapidly prototyping and delivering production-quality demo experiences that scale across business units. Youll work with bleeding-edge AI capabilities and own full lifecycle deliveryfrom design and integration to refinement and reuse. 

What you get to do in this role:

• Build high-quality clean scalable and reusable code by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews Unit testing etc.)
• Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design implementation test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
• Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
• Be a mentor for colleagues and help promote knowledge-sharing

Qualifications :

To be successful in this role you have:

• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes decision-making or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools automating workflows analyzing AI-driven insights or exploring AIs potential impact on the function or industry.
• Build high-quality scalable and reusable demo solutions that showcase GenAI capabilities in real-world use cases. 
• Experience in prompt engineering and GenAI
• Experience in using AI productivity tools such as Cursor Windsurf etc is a plus or nice to have
• Work closely with field product and engineering stakeholders to understand needs and translate them into demo assets and proof-of-concepts. 
• Create parameterized or templatized demos that reduce lift for future engagements and support internal reuse. 
• Lead design and development of AI-powered agents workflow solutions and customer-centric scenarios across ITOM CSM and beyond. 
• Actively contribute to the formation of best practices patterns and technical playbooks through hands-on worknot theoretical process. 
• Stay current with new AI features and rapidly prototype integrations to validate value and usability. 
• Mentor and collaborate with peers across the team to accelerate team velocity and knowledge sharing.

For positions in this location we offer a base pay of $147300 - $257800 plus equity (when applicable) variable/incentive compensation and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications skill level competencies and work location. Compensation is based on the geographic location in which the role is located and is subject to change based on work location.
