Job Title: Operations Financial/Reporting International Analyst
Job Summary
The Operations Financial/Reporting International Analyst will work with the payment funding files and Operational reporting that come from Boost Payment Solutions. As a member of the operations team the Operations Financial/Reporting International Analyst will work with the Financial Reporting Manager for Operations generating reporting and daily funding processes. The Operations Financial/Reporting International Analyst will also work with the Finance Team regarding international payment processing financial reconciliations daily and month end per country/currency/platform.
This position requires deep knowledge of international payment rules currency conversion settlement and funding per country. Along with strong computer skills attention to detail good communication (both written and verbal) skills and ability to work on their own and with others.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work on supplier international funding from clients Payment Solutions
- Create all funding reporting (supplier reports month end statement etc.)
- Ensure that internal documentation (Standard Operating Procedures) for International processing and reconciliation is written and maintained
- Work with the internal and external teams to ensure all reporting commitments and timelines are met
- Work with internal and external teams to ensure production data is reported accurately
- Work with internal and external parties to ensure daily and monthly financial reconciliations are completed in alignment with Finance needs and expectations
Qualifications
- Extensive understanding of international payment systems and financial transaction workflows
- Experience working with financial data transaction tracking and account reconciliation
- Understanding of financial reconciliation processes
- Familiarity with card processing a plus
- Knowledge of SQL - where clauses update syntax inner vs left vs right join temp tables understanding of indexes understanding of foreign keys understanding basics of transactions understanding of constraints
- Prior experience with relational databases
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
- Strong computer skills: Microsoft products Salesforce Tableau and other reporting and data visualization products
- Advanced Excel skills - hlookup vlookup pivot tables macros a plus
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage time effectively set priorities and meet deadlines
- Desire/ability to work successfully in a small company environment
- Understanding of the demands of working in a Production environment
- Professional demeanor and ability to work well with others (management/ customers/ team members)
- Outside-the-box thinking with the ability to embrace change
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting business administration or a related field
- 5 years of experience in payment operations settlement processes or financial services with some of it related to International markets
- Proven expertise in transaction reconciliation settlement workflows and payment systems
- In-depth understanding of payment industry regulations standards and best practices
