Backend Java Engineer (medior)

This job refers to our Automotive brands Autoscout24 and Motoscout24. Were building on a modern technology stack with Java following best practices and striving to build/measure/learn at a high cadence. What you will be doing

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ship valuable product increments

• Write high-quality code and tests within established development standards and patterns following industry best practices

• Contribute to design decisions and technical discussions as part of the engineering team

• Own the production operation and monitoring of the systems

• Make a positive impact towards a healthy and maintainable platform every day

• Proactively support and mentor other team members and help them accelerate their career-growth

Qualifications :

What we are looking for

• Fluent in English for both written and spoken communication

• At least 4 years of experience developing Backend systems in Java

• At least 2 years of experience with Spring Boot

• Solid grounding in Computer Science: data structures algorithms mathematics

• Working knowledge of distributed systems and messaging solutions

• Experience with Cloud Services preferably with Amazon Web Services (AWS)

• Fluency with automated testing (unit integration tests) and CI/CD

• Eagerness to learn and understand the business vision strategy and priorities

This is nice to have

• Domain-Driven Design (DDD)

• Kubernetes and containers

• Kafka

• Elasticsearch
