Job Summary
Arch Insurance Group is seeking a motivated and intellectually curious actuarial analyst to join our team. This role provides critical actuarial support across business functions including rate indications price monitoring profitability analysis product development database management and strategic decision-making. The analyst will primarily support our newly launched Marine business unit contributing to its growth and pricing sophistication.
A demonstrated ability with programming languages is strongly preferred and prior actuarial experienceespecially in pricingis a significant advantage.

Job Responsibilities:
- Building and Improving our new Marine pricing tool
- Benchmark Reporting
- Price Monitoring & Profitability Analysis
- Parameter Studies
- Ability to perform independently and meet deadlines with some guidance from supervisor
- Adhoc pricing analysis
Qualifications :
- Strong analytical database and Excel skills particularly Excel VBA
- Curiosity motivation and ability to self-teach
- Hard-working detail-oriented person who takes pride in owning their work and is committed to quality of thought and accuracy.
- Understanding of insurance and actuarial concepts and methodologies
- Strong analysis prioritization and time management skills
- Strong written oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong team player with leadership attributes
- Strong knowledge of any programming languages with experience working on basic tools and projects.
- Typical hours will be 3AM-12NN EST although occasionally flexibility depending on circumstances is preferred.
Additional Information :
- Bachelors degree with concentration in a quantitative discipline such as Actuarial Statistics Computer Science Mathematics Economics or Operations Research - with 5 or more years of experience.
