Job Description

Te Whiwhinga mahi The opportunity

We are seeking a Year 4 Coordinator for the MBChB programme. This position plays a key role in overseeing Year 4 attachments assessments and curriculum development as well as providing pastoral and academic support for students.

In this role you will:

  • Oversee Year 4 attachments teaching learning and assessment.
  • Contribute to curriculum review development and programme change.
  • Assist in producing the Year 4 timetable.
  • Provide orientation monitoring and support for students including those requiring academic or pastoral intervention.
  • Liaise closely with the Phase 2 Director other year coordinators academic staff and student support services to ensure the smooth delivery of Year 4.

This is a Part-time (0.2FTE 8hrs per week) permanent position The salary range for this role is $120752 - $138721 pro rata dependent on skills and experience.

Qualifications :

We are looking for a committed and collaborative individual with strong experience in health professional education. You will be a confident communicator who can balance academic coordination with student support.

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • At least 5 years experience in a tertiary institution involved in health professional education.
  • Strong communication skills collaborative working style and ability to manage competing priorities.

Preferred:

  • Higher degree and/or a health professional qualification.
  • Experience within the MBChB programme at the University of Auckland.
  • Experience providing pastoral support to students.
