Our Dunedin-based Finance team are on the hunt for a Supervisor - Financial Services. This position will be based out of our MacLaggan Street Dunedin office working a Monday to Friday roster.
Reporting into the Superintendent - Financial Services this role will lead the accounts payable and payroll functions ensuring all transactions are processed accurately on time and in compliance with legislative and organisational requirements. Additionally this position will provide leadership to finance staff ensure timely and accurate reporting on these functions and work collaboratively with IT support supply chain and business units to optimise systems processes and service delivery.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Oversee accounts payable/payroll functions
- Develop prepare and present regular reports on accounts payable performance ageing and trends
- Work with supply chain and business units to ensure accurate timely processing of supplier invoices and purchase orders
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation contracts and internal policies
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounts payable and payroll processes
- Lead initiatives to improve efficiency automation and integration with supply chain and business operations
- Keep up to date with payroll legislation and best practices ensuring the compliance and control requirements of a listed entity are met
Qualifications :
- Experience in accounts payable and payroll functions
- Proven supervisory or team leadership experience in financial services
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation tax obligations and accounts payable processes
- Proven ability to prepare and interpret reports on financial operations
- Knowledge of AP invoice processing software such as Redmap or similar workflow automation tools
- Knowledge of payroll systems such as SAP MYOB Xero or Technology One
- Microsoft Excel skills including reporting analysis and reconciliation functions
- Experience in high-volume AP environments and complex payrolls
- Knowledge of continuous improvement principles
- Tertiary qualification in accounting finance is desirable but not mandatory
