Role Overview
Our client a leader in the recycling sector is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Sales Manager (male preferred) to lead B2B and B2C sales of recycled physical products such as tiles bags and related items. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales plans leading a high-performing sales team and driving revenue growth while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Planning
Develop and execute innovative sales strategies to exceed company revenue targets.
Analyze market trends customer behavior and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
Create detailed sales plans covering resource allocation sales channels and promotional campaigns.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead motivate and manage a diverse sales team to achieve corporate objectives.
Provide regular training on product knowledge sales techniques and market positioning.
Set clear team and individual performance goals conducting regular performance reviews.
Market Analysis & Client Relationship Management
Conduct in-depth market research to understand customer needs and emerging trends.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure loyalty and satisfaction.
Use CRM tools to track sales activities and enhance customer experience.
Reporting & Budget Management
Prepare accurate sales forecasts performance reports and market analyses for management.
Manage departmental budgets ensuring optimal cost-effectiveness and ROI.
Monitor and control expenses recommending financial optimization strategies.
Sales Process Optimization
Evaluate and refine sales processes to increase efficiency and conversion rates.
Standardize procedures and implement best practices to streamline operations.
Collaborate with internal teams to remove operational bottlenecks.
Performance Monitoring & Target Achievement
Set and communicate measurable sales targets aligned with company objectives.
Monitor team performance implementing corrective measures where needed.
Recognize and reward outstanding sales achievements
Requirements
Education: HND/. in Marketing Communications Business Administration or related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years in sales including at least 3 years in a senior position (e.g. Regional Sales Manager Area Sales Manager).
Sales Track Record: Proven success in meeting or exceeding sales targets in physical product sales (B2B & B2C).
Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the recycling or manufacturing sector is a strong advantage.
Leadership Skills: Experience managing and mentoring high-performance sales teams.
Communication Skills: Strong presentation negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing KPIs ROI and market data.
Problem-Solving: Strong conflict resolution and decision-making skills.
Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
Reporting Line
The Sales Manager will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) providing regular updates on sales performance market trends and team progress.
