The Shop Technician is responsible for producing wood components for custom cabinetry in alignment with designs and cut sheets. This includes cutting/building wood products poles rails sliding doors and drawer boxes and organizing them into job carts labeled with the correct job name and file.
Technicians will also perform daily/periodic maintenance and technical service tasks to ensure tools and machinery are accurate reliable safe and operating at full capability. Responsibilities include checking machinery for accuracy (e.g. fence stops and blade performance) quality control and safety. We provide paid on-the-job training for candidates with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Qualifications :
- Attention to Detail: Ability to read and interpret cut sheets and finished designs with accuracy.
- Basic Math Skills: Confidence with measurements calculations and quantities.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage tasks efficiently maintain an orderly workspace and track inventory.
- Physical Capability: Able to lift 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
- Computer Skills: Comfortable with basic data entry and navigation of software tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Able to identify and resolve issues such as damaged product or quality concerns.
- Willingness to Learn: Positive attitude and openness to developing new skills through training.
- Assets: Woodworking skills (operation of saws and hand tools) and Forklift certification.
- Safety Focus: Strong understanding of safe practices in a shop environment.
