NEW! The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is expanding to a new space! University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) for the Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) to assess patients nursing care needs evaluate effectiveness of care provided and integrate nursing theory and research into clinical practice.
The Adult Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a short-stay unit with a maximum capacity of 12 providing care for medically stable adult psychiatric patients. Beginning December 3 2024 the CSU will transition to a new state-of-the-art unit and expand capacity to 14 adult patients. Members of the interdisciplinary treatment team are prepared to manage patients who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis and in need of immediate around-the-clock care and observation. The units open concept features a large central room with comfortable reclining chairs rather than traditional hospital beds. Spaces for individual therapy are located immediately adjacent to the central living space.The unit provides other homelike touches for a more therapeutic milieu such as TVs music and web access for patients.
Percent of Time: 100% - 40 hours per week
Schedule: Day Shifts- Monday - Friday 0700-1530. Holidays that land on the weekday would be included

SEIU Pay Plan: Differentials:Shift differentials for evening night and weekend shifts. Premium pay for additional shifts greater than 4 hours. Inpatient differential of $10000.00 per year
