We are looking for a domestic abuse practitioner - This is an excellent opportunity for any experienced support worker who has a sound knowledge base and a keen interest in working with families where domestic abuse is identified. You will work alongside professionals and support early identification and offer responses and interventions to families.
Domestic abuse practitioners are specialist operational frontline delivery staff mainly positioned in our Family Intensive Support (FIS) team and will work with Family Support Workers providing specialist support to children/young people survivors and perpetrators of domestic abuse and those in crisis to support them to be able to live safely and free from violence and abuse.
Domestic Abuse practitioners are also supporting our groupwork offer with oversight of an appropriate response for families experiencing Domestic Abuse.
The successful candidate will work with children young people and their families using a whole family approach and where appropriate identify and implement evidenced based therapeutic approaches which will facilitate the repair of family relationships..
Flexible working is required and some evening early mornings and weekend delivery may be required to meet the needs of families and service requirements.
