About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-performing Financial Accounting Team at a pivotal moment of growth and transition. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of accurate and timely financial accounts contributing directly to the integrity and efficiency of our reporting processes

As part of a dynamic team youll be stepping into a position during a maximum term contract covering parental leave. This role offers a strong foundation for professional development and the chance to work closely with experienced finance professionals in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Duties

  • Support core financial operations including processing journal entries reconciling balance sheet accounts and maintaining the bank accounts.
  • Deliver timely and accurate reporting contributing to daily cash flow preparation audit support and external compliance requirements (FBT ABS etc.).
  • Provide responsive financial assistance managing Finance Help Desk queries backing up AR functions and maintaining key registers (gift cards bank guarantees).
  • Engage effectively across teams demonstrating strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset when liaising with financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Skills and Requirements

  • Progressing toward CA/CPA qualification demonstrating commitment to professional development and technical excellence.
  • Strong team collaboration and independent work ethic with proven ability to meet tight deadlines under pressure.
  • Solid experience in financial reporting including balance sheet preparation and account reconciliations.
  • Continuous improvement mindset actively seeking ways to enhance processes and drive efficiency.
  • Proficient in financial systems and tools including Microsoft Office Suite SharePoint and Microsoft Great Plains.
