Job Summary

We are working on behalf on an Am Law 40 firm to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager. This role offers the opportunity to shape and drive business development and marketing initiatives for the firmwide Intellectual Property (IP) practice working closely with practice leaders partners and colleagues across the BD team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning and Execution: Collaborate with practice leaders to create and implement marketing and business development strategies leveraging market insights to drive strategy and differentiate service offerings.
  • Project and Process Management: Lead RFPs pitches client events directory submissions and other BD projects for the group.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Supervise a BD Coordinator providing guidance feedback and mentorship to support professional growth.
  • Client Development and Insights: Identify new and existing client opportunities conducting client research and analysis using firm systems and resources.

Credentials and Expertise:

  • Educational Background: A bachelors degree in business marketing or a related field is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of business development or marketing experience preferably in a law firm professional services or financial services environment.
  • Capabilities: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships at all levels. Strong attention to detail proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment and the ability to demonstrate both independent initiative and effective teamwork.

Houston/Dallas: $177000 - $200000

Chicago: $189000 - $215000
