Description

Overview:

As the Digital Media Manager at MidAmerica Nazarene University you will help shape our brand across a variety of media including Internet social media email digital billboards and other emerging channels. You must be passionate about Christian higher education possess a keen eye for visual storytelling and have a proven track record in developing engaging photo and video content. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our digital presence and showcasing the unique aspects of our institution to prospective students current students alumni and the broader community. This position is based at the MNU campus in Olathe KS; however remote work opportunities exist during times of heavy work volume.

This role is an in-person position.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation (50%):

  • Develop compelling and visually stunning photo and video content that aligns with the institutions brand and values.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to capture the essence of academic programs campus life events and other relevant activities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on the performance of digital media initiatives to the leadership team.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance content quality.

Digital Strategy (10%):

  • Implement and manage a comprehensive digital media strategy to increase engagement and reach across various digital platforms.
  • Work closely with the University Communications team to integrate digital media into overall communications campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of digital content providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Social Media Management (30%):

  • Oversee the institutions social media channels ensuring consistent and engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Develop and implement social media campaigns that showcase the institutions achievements events and community impact.
  • Foster community engagement through responding to comments messages and fostering online conversations.

Brand Management (10%):

  • Uphold and reinforce the institutions brand guidelines in all digital media content.
  • Ensure consistency in messaging and visual identity across all digital platforms.
  • Contribute to the development and evolution of the institutions brand through innovative and creative digital media strategies.

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in marketing communications digital media or a related field.
  • Proven experience in digital media management with a focus on photo and video content development.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and other relevant digital media tools.
  • Excellent understanding of social media platforms analytics and trends.
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for higher education and a commitment to promoting the institutions values.
