Be an integral part of an agile team thats constantly pushing the envelope to enhance build and deliver mission critical foundational services for the JPMC Public Cloud Atlas product.

As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within Cloud Foundational Services Marketplace (Infrastructure Platforms) you are an essential part of a curious and inspiring agile team that works to enhance build and deliver Public Cloud products to application development teams across the entire firm. Youll work with modern automation tools to enable Infrastructure as Code approaches on Public Cloud platforms. Youll understand develop and apply cyber controls on Public Cloud ensuring usage aligns with firm-wide cyber policies.

Job responsibilities

Executes software solutions design development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Provide technical support and consultation to Product Lines and Lines of Business platform users
Creates and owns secure and high-quality production level code
Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity Opportunity inclusion and respect

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and applied experience
Experience in Terraform and Infrastructure as Code principles using Terraform on Public Cloud (AWS preferred)
Experience of developing and testing using automation frameworks
Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go Python Java)
Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and operational stability
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD Application Resiliency and Security
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.)

Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills

AWS and Terraform Certified
Proficient in designing and provisioning applications on AWS Services Terraform and Sentinel
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
