Key job responsibilities
Amazon seeks an experienced Financial Analyst to play a key role on our Amazon Devices Finance team.
Job responsibilities include:
Lead a quarterly and yearly forecasting process by working closely with various different business partners
Demonstrate a willingness to understand how business partners manage their business to identify their goals and drivers to forecast effectively.
Be an integral part of the monthly financial close process by performing variance analysis and providing relevant insights to senior management. Investigate variances to understand trends potential risks and opportunities and adjust the forecast.
Collaborate with business partners to determine their reporting needs and support their growth initiatives.
Actively participate in Finance initiatives including but not limited to process improvements ad hoc analyses and preparation of periodic reporting activities.
The successful candidate will have shown experience in past roles supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. This role requires a self-starter with strong data gathering and modeling skills a keen attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. This role also has regular interaction with various business owners and finance across Amazon and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3 years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Bachelors degree in finance accounting or related field
- Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
- 4 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
