Job Description
Shaker Lane is dedicated to building a safe caring and ready-to-learn should embrace this philosophy when PACE Program is a full-day special education program within the Littleton PublicSchools that comprehensively addresses the needs of students focusing on the primaryareas of Communication Social Development Content Area Instruction Functional Skillsand Adaptive Behavior. The PACE Program provides opportunities for highly structureddirect instruction as well as inclusion in larger groups for social and academic instruction inorder to address functional and socially significant goals. The program promotesgeneralization of skills to the general education environment that aligns with the studentsability. Individual and small group academic instruction Implement student plans for services as outlined by their Individual EducationPrograms Work collaboratively with a team to support students Assist students with assistive technology and augmentative communication Provide behavior/therapeutic support under the direction of the special educationteacher and clinical staff (BCBA psychologist counselor etc.) Assist students in toileting/diapering Work with students on prerequisite skills and skill acquisition Maintain confidentiality regarding all personal information regarding childrenfamilies and staff Data collection Monitor student performance and provide feedback and prompts when needed Provide services under the supervision of the special education teacher buildingadministrator or supervising staff.
