Duties and Responsibilities

• Performing human cell culture maintenance and supporting in-house testing lab operations and quality initiatives

• Communicating with and updating team members and stakeholders during the week to organize prioritize and schedule duties for independent weekend completion

• Executing general lab procedures and tasks including but not limited to calculations assays documentation and troubleshooting without direct supervision

• Mandatory weekend work (Saturday and Sunday) will be required

Knowledge and Qualifications

• BSc (in progress or completed) in Life Sciences or related field (relevant co-op training directed studies or equivalent is an asset)

• Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques required. Training in cellular and molecular biology techniques including qPCR immunocytochemistry or microscopy would be an asset

• Experience performing independent laboratory research and coordinating with and supporting multiple collaborators

• Strong written and verbal communication skills in both one-on-one and group settings

The annual base salary for this job ranges from:

STEMCELL determines an individuals pay within the range based on multiple factors including experience education job-related skills and equity within the team or organization. For jobs that are eligible for sales incentives the range noted above is inclusive of target incentives; actual incentives are based on individual performance results in accordance with company addition to base salary STEMCELL offers a comprehensive total rewards package including health benefits retirement savings and more.
