Job Description:
providing one-on-one support to the deaf/blind student who has mild to severe impairments and disabilities and allowing him/her to interact with the environment;
providing motivation sensory input accurate information and a means of receptive/expressive communication;
acting as the eyes and ears of the deaf/blind student;
other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Qualifications:
a secondary school diploma;
a 2 year Community college diploma in a related field ( SSW or a University Degree in a child related field of study);
2 years of related experience ;
CPR First Aid and ASL;
Braille and CPI would be assets;
and the ability to work as a team member.
Individuals who possess an equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
This is a term position with an anticipated start date of September 2 2025 to January 10 2026 with an annual salary range of approximately $48782 $52246.
