Role Overview
Were looking for a hands-on Talent Acquisition Leader to take the reins and scale our recruiting engine globally. This isnt a narrow roleyoull be expected to manage a diverse slate of hiring needs across engineering AI/ML product design product management and G&A often all at once. This position reports directly to our COO and is a critical leadership role at Tech9.
Were a fast-growth startup with a lean recruiting team that still delivers big results. With AI reshaping how we work we dont plan to build a massive recruiting departmentwe plan to stay sharp scrappy and highly efficient. That means youll be in the trenches 8095% of the time while carving out the remaining 20% for strategy leadership and innovation.
You wont be going at it alone. Our executive team is deeply invested in recruiting and will back you with real support. But were also a roll-up-your-sleeves cultureevery leader here is an individual contributor even our CEO who still jumps in to code. We experiment research and adapt quickly never clinging to how its always been done.
This is not a role where you simply support hiring managersyoull partner with them directly shaping how we run selection processes and owning hiring outcomes alongside them. What Youll Do
Recruiting (80%)
- Lead full-cycle recruiting across engineering AI/ML product design product management and G&A roles
- Build plug-and-play engineering networks for immediate client deployment
- Drive global talent sourcing with timezone fluency and cultural understanding across US LATAM and India
- Translate technical requirements into targeted recruiting strategies partnering closely with clients and sales
- Use LLMs (Claude ChatGPT etc.) to accelerate sourcing streamline outreach evaluate candidate responses and improve process efficiency
Leadership & Strategy (20%)
- Evaluate and implement recruiting tools: research test and deploy ATS platforms and AI-driven technologies.
- Act as Recruiting expert (SME) for other functions especially salesadvising on costs talent availability timelines and alignment for any services for Tech9.
- Provide reporting and metrics to executives (time-to-fill time-to-hire conversion ratios quality of hire).
- Continuously refine recruiting processes to increase efficiency speed and candidate quality.
- Evaluate and optimize selection processes to ensure fairness consistency and accuracy of hiring decisions.
- Apply talent intelligence and predictive analytics for headcount forecasting and talent mapping.
- Define market pricing strategies that balance securing top 10% talent with margin requirements.
- Mentor and develop recruiters using a showteachobserve methodology.
Must-Have Experience
- 5 years of technical recruiting experience with an emphasis on software engineering and AI/ML roles
- Recruiting expertise across product design UX/UI and product management
- Deep experience with compensation benchmarking across multiple global markets
- Consistent tenure: 2 years in each prior company (we value commitment and growth trajectory)
- Background in services/staffing (agency staff augmentation consulting direct placement)
- Experience supporting fast-growth startups
- Advanced Google Sheets/Excel skills (formulas pivot tables analytics)
- Proven team-building experience including mentoring recruiters
- Recruiting experience in LATAM and India markets
- Strong background with ATS platforms
- Hands-on competency with LLMs and prompting (Claude ChatGPT etc.) to streamline sourcing evaluation and process optimization
Preferred Experience
- Built and scaled a recruiting function alongside company growth.
- Familiarity with AI sourcing/recruiting tools (Humanly Wellfound etc.).
- Prior background in software engineering (professional experience or education).

Interview Process
Our interview process is highly structured and intentional designed to give you clarity transparency and an excellent candidate experience. - Step 3: Live Virtual Interview (60 minutes)
A discussion with our COO Jeff Conley centered on your IQ EQ work ethic and career trajectory.
- Step 4: Onsite Final Interview (60-90 minutes)
Meet in-person at our Lehi office with our Head of TA COO and CEO for a collaborative face-to-face session.
