- Planning curriculum lessons and special education programs using effective teaching methods.
- Maintaining regular contact with parents and involving them in their childs educational progress.
- Ensuring the classroom environment is well-organized and conducive to learning.
- Instructing individuals and groups in various special education skill areas.
- Modifying curriculum according to individualized education plans (IEPs) and conducting testing evaluations.
- Active DESE special education certification for moderate or severe disability in MA.
- Bachelors degree is required with preferred classroom experience.
- 2 years of experience working as a special education teacher.
