Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Hardware Integrator/Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building configuring and testing servers and IT components with Department of Defense (DoD) experience preferred. This role involves hands-on assembly integration and troubleshooting of hardware systems to ensure they meet rigorous performance and quality standards. This is a 3 month contract to hire.
Responsibilities:
- Hardware Integration:
- Assemble integrate and configure servers IT hardware and peripherals based on project specifications.
- Install operating systems drivers and firmware updates on server and IT systems.
- Perform hardware and software compatibility checks to ensure seamless system functionality.
- Testing & Troubleshooting:
- Conduct functional performance and stress testing on integrated hardware systems.
- Identify and resolve issues related to hardware software and network configurations.
- Document and communicate test results including failures resolutions and improvements.
- Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate documentation for hardware builds configurations and testing procedures.
- Ensure systems adhere to DoD standards cybersecurity protocols and other applicable regulations (e.g. NIST RMF).
- Support quality assurance processes and participate in audits as needed.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement:
- Work closely with engineering software and project management teams to define system requirements and address hardware-related challenges.
- Provide input for improving assembly testing and troubleshooting processes.
- Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hardware integration and testing.
- Logistics & Inventory Management:
- Manage and track inventory of IT hardware components and tools.
- Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely availability of components and replacement parts.
