We are seeking an experienced Hardware Integrator/Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building configuring and testing servers and IT components with Department of Defense (DoD) experience preferred. This role involves hands-on assembly integration and troubleshooting of hardware systems to ensure they meet rigorous performance and quality standards. This is a 3 month contract to hire.
Responsibilities:
Hardware Integration:
Assemble integrate and configure servers IT hardware and peripherals based on project specifications.
Install operating systems drivers and firmware updates on server and IT systems.
Perform hardware and software compatibility checks to ensure seamless system functionality.
Testing & Troubleshooting:
Conduct functional performance and stress testing on integrated hardware systems.
Identify and resolve issues related to hardware software and network configurations.
Document and communicate test results including failures resolutions and improvements.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate documentation for hardware builds configurations and testing procedures.
Ensure systems adhere to DoD standards cybersecurity protocols and other applicable regulations (e.g. NIST RMF).
Support quality assurance processes and participate in audits as needed.
Collaboration & Process Improvement:
Work closely with engineering software and project management teams to define system requirements and address hardware-related challenges.
Provide input for improving assembly testing and troubleshooting processes.
Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hardware integration and testing.
Logistics & Inventory Management:
Manage and track inventory of IT hardware components and tools.
Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely availability of components and replacement parts.
