Job Description

Angott Search Group is pleased to partner with a $5 billion South Dakota bank in their search for a Credit this role you will be responsible for analyzing financial data to determine the creditworthiness of new and existing clients. This position plays a crucial part in the lending process by providing detailed in-depth financial analysis that supports informed credit decisions.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting or finance who is looking to grow their career within the banking industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze financial statements cash flows and other relevant data for both new and existing borrowers. Prepare comprehensive written presentations outlining your findings to assist lenders and Credit Administration in making credit decisions.
  • Assist in the overall management of the loan portfolio including monitoring past-due loans and annual reviews. You will be responsible for tracking financial information and alerting lenders to any irregularities.
  • Stay current on developments and trends within various industries related to the loan portfolio.
  • Work with the lending and Credit Administration teams on ongoing projects and presentations to the loan committee as needed.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to maintain your expertise and stay abreast of new industry trends.

Education & Experience:

  • A Bachelors degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Alternatively 3-5 years of related work experience in business finance or accounting.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of financial statements and the ability to analyze creditworthiness.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
  • A driven individual with an affinity for numbers and a desire to succeed. You must be able to work independently meet deadlines and be willing to travel.
  • Basic understanding of banking laws rules and regulations.
