About the Role

We are seeking a strategic and highly proficient Senior Production Manager to oversee production processes in our meat processing facility. This role ensures smooth efficient and cost-effective operations by managing production supervision teams across multiple shifts coordinating with internal departments and implementing strategies to optimize production quality and output. The Senior Production Manager will be responsible for achieving production targets while maintaining the highest standards of safety quality and efficiency. A key component of this role is a proven track record in mentorship and team building.

Key Responsibilities

• Leadandmanage the production and sanitation supervision teams across three shifts providing direction trainingandsupport.
• Overseeanddirect the forecastingandscheduling of production ensuring that downtimeandchangeovers are minimized while still meeting customer ordersandlead time expectations. Coordinate with other departments such as supply chain quality controlandmaintenance.
• Identify opportunities for process improvementsandimplement changes to increase efficiencyandreduce costs. Use lean manufacturing principlesandother methodologies to enhance production processes.
• Ensure that products meet quality standardsandspecificationsandensure that all yield targets are met.
• Manage resources including personnel equipmentandmaterials to optimize production efficiency and ensure our environment meets stringent food safety standards.
• Ensure that all production and sanitation activities comply with safety regulationsandcompany policies.
• Monitor production metricsandtake action to meet yieldandefficiency targets.
  

About You

• Progressive supervision experience in a manufacturing environment (food and beverage industry preferred).
• The ability to set clear objectives and design a strategy that inspires the team.
• Familiarity with HACCP SSOPs GMPs and experience with USDA standards (preferred).
• Strong decision-making analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelors degree is preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Salary and Benefits:This is a full-time in-person position based in Detroit Michigan. This role requires both plant-floor and office presence with flexibility for after-hours support. The salary range for this position is $150000 to $180000 including quarterly bonuses.
