This Position reports to:

Senior Engineering Manager - Cluster ARCLCO


Your role and responsibilities

You will be involved in deploying the latest digital solutions in industry energy and infrastructure on interesting projects around the world. You will directly participate to Optimization and APC (Advanced Process Control) offering and projects covering activities ranging from bid & proposal initial site surveys to modeling to commissioning. The candidate will execute activities at site on potentially multiple parallel projects in the Region and drive execution / operations teams.

The work model for the role is: Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Process Automation Energy Industries in Buenos Aires Argentina.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Design of a technical solution from identification of the process model to commissioning.

  • Take full ownership for delivering Plant Optimization solutions in the execution phase.

  • Take full ownership for supporting Plant Optimization solutions in the operational phase

  • Work on projects both at customers in Argentina and abroad with close interactions with clients and colleagues from different functions/divisions within ABB

  • Working with the sales team to identify customer needs and as a result focus on meeting their needs

  • Support for customers with already deployed Advance Process Control solution

Qualifications for the role

  • You have a Masters degree in chemical engineering.

  • You have experience in physics thermodynamics chemistry automation and control.

  • Knowledge of typical industrial processes (Oil & Gas Refining Petro-chem and Power generation).

  • Experience in process control (including modelling simulation and control design).

  • Good knowledge of English (spoken and written).

  • Successful implementation and execution of advanced process control and energy & process optimization projects in Energy and Process Industries (desirable).

  • Well-developed communication influencing coaching and leadership skills.
