Job Description

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of construction professionals We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeableLecturer in Built Environmentto join our dynamic Construction team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of T Level construction courses and help shape the future of the built environment sector.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across a range of further and higher education programmes with a focus on T Level construction. The role includes curriculum development assessment and supporting learners to achieve their full potential.

Actual Salary: 13 727.32 - 17375.49 per annum

Working Pattern: Wednesday & Thursday 8:30am - 17:00pm (15 hours per week)

Essential Criteria

  • HNC/HND or degree in Construction Management or relevant industry experience.
  • A demonstratable experience in a lecturing or training role within Further or Higher Education.
  • Strong subject expertise to enhance the quality of taught programmes.
  • Knowledge and experience of innovative learning and teaching techniques.
  • Understanding of education/training initiatives and ability to use ICT as a teaching tool

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging lessons and assess student work across Built Environment programmes.
  • Develop curriculum materials and contribute to subject area development.
  • Coordinate course teams and support the day-to-day running of programmes.
  • Support learners through mentoring guidance and individualised learning plans.
  • Participate in course verification quality assurance and departmental planning.
  • Recruit and enrol students meeting enrolment targets.
  • Undertake professional development and contribute to the Colleges appraisal system.
