Job Description

Amazon seeks an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to play a key role on the Alexa Insights Planning Econometrics and Decision (IPED) team owning Alexa financial key performance indicators (KPIs) and executive metrics dashboards. This role will be responsible for defining KPIs conducting trends analysis proposing guardrails and implementing mechanisms to allow business leaders to adhere to those guardrails at scale. The successful candidate will build scalable analyses build KPI dashboards shape the trajectory of the business by implementing a mechanism to adhere to defined guardrails. This position will work closely with Alexa Finance and business leadership to gain alignment on KPIs guardrails and providing regular progress updates on both.

Key job responsibilities
- Define KPIs that incorporate value and investment levers across the Alexa P&L
- Influence the definition of guardrails to manage investment decisions based on return forecasted
- Build Page 0 metrics across the Alexa business to publish monthly in the Finance reports that informs prioritization decisions based on actuals vs. forecasts trends and guardrails
- Work with big data and transform it into insights and information

- 3 years of tax finance or a related analytical field experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting information systems finance or equivalent

- 3 years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL MS Access Essbase Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle SAP Lawson JD Edwards)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
