A yard worker is responsible for maintaining outdoor spaces assisting with loading/unloading materials organizing inventory and supporting general operations in places like construction yards lumberyards warehouses or landscaping businesses.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload materials (e.g. lumber pipes heavy equipment supplies) manually or with forklifts and other machinery
- Maintain a clean safe and organized yard area free from debris and hazards
- Inspect and organize incoming and outgoing shipments and inventory
- Assist with equipment setup maintenance or repair
- Operate forklifts skid steers or other machinery (if trained and certified)
- Perform basic landscaping or facility maintenance tasks
- Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Complete daily logs or checklists as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Available to work Monday Friday with overtime opportunities
Ability to perform physically demanding labor (lifting 5075 lbs regularly)
- Basic knowledge of tools equipment and materials used in yard or warehouse settings
- Strong attention to safety and detail
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Team player with good communication skills
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Background check will be conducted
- Forklift certification (may be required or preferred)
