Key Responsibilities
- Implement and manage cloud cost optimization strategies across AWS and GCP environments.
- Leverage native cloud services (AWS Cost Explorer CUR GCP Billing Recommender Rightsizing etc.) for monitoring analysis and optimization.
- Collaborate with engineering and finance teams to drive FinOps best practices.
- Analyze cloud usage patterns and recommend actionable savings opportunities.
- Automate cost reporting alerting and optimization workflows.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party cost optimization tools as needed.
- Support and enhance our in-house Auto Park solution for cloud cost management.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud pricing models discounts and optimization techniques.
Requirements
- 46 years of experience in DevOps Cloud Engineering or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and GCP cloud platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud billing cost management and optimization services (e.g. AWS CUR Cost Explorer Savings Plans GCP Billing Recommender Rightsizing).
- Experience implementing or working with cloud cost optimization tools (native or third-party).
- Good knowledge of FinOps principles and practices.
- Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python Bash etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- BE/ or equivalent degree.
Good to Have
- FinOps certification or relevant cloud certifications (AWS GCP).
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform)
- CICD tools experience like Harness and Jenkins
- Experience in building or maintaining internal cost optimization solutions.
