Community First Step (CFS) is a not-for-profit community-based organisation in Sydneys Southwest. The organisation was founded over 50 years ago by a group of residents who originally formed the Fairfield Community Council for Social Development a forum for community development and action on social issues.
CFS currently employs over 90 staff from over 17 cultural backgrounds across Community Children and Disability services.
About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Childrens Services (HChS) the Childhood Educator is responsible for facilitating the effective and efficient operations of CFS childrens services and for ensuring that CFS centres are child-friendly safe healthy and stimulating learning environments where childrens autonomy initiative self-worth and dignity are upheld and valued.
They will participate in the planning and implementation of programs that meet the developmental cultural and individual needs of children.
Key Requirements
These are casual positions under the Childrens Services Award 2010 plus super. As a not-for-profit CFS also offers attractive salary packaging.
