JOB TITLE:
Temporary Lecturerfor Spring 2026
JOB PURPOSE:
To teach one Chinese course online during Spring 2026 semester.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and well-structured course content in an online asynchronous format.
- Assess student performance through timely and accurate grading of homework quizzes and writing assignments.
- Hold three hours of online office hours per week to support student learning answer questions and maintain regular communication.
- Provide responsive instructional support while maintaining student confidentiality.
- Foster a supportive inclusive and engaging online learning environment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:Masters degree in a related discipline
Other requirements:
- Masters degree in Chinese language literature applied linguistics.
- Prior professional teaching experience in Chinese language instruction.
- Proficiency in Chinese excellent communication and organizational skills strong sense of responsibility and experience with academic tools.
- Demonstrated experience in online teaching.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrated experience in immersion program
- College-level instructional experiencepreferred
