The City of Edmonton is looking for a Communications Advisor to join the LRT Expansion and Renewal team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys the challenge of leading multiple projects with competing deadlines. As a key member of the team you will be instrumental in drafting and implementing integrated marketing and communications plans directly supporting a wide range of corporate department and branch initiatives.
As a Communications Advisor you will provide direct communications strategy and advice to various City teams that are helping to design and deliver LRT infrastructure on behalf of City Council and Edmontonians. You will work with those teams to identify and define business challenges craft communications strategies to assist in solving those challenges and implement communications plans and associated tactics.
The responsibilities of this position range from the development of comprehensive integrated communications plans to project management to relationship building. You are required to work closely with colleagues in an integrated fashion on projects across portfolios and will exemplify the City of Edmontons cultural commitments.
What will you do
One of the following:
A degree in a communications public relations or a related field supplemented by a minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a designated public relations public affairs or public information position.
OR
A diploma in a communications public relations or related field supplemented by a minimum of four years of progressively responsible experience in a designated public relations public affairs or public information position.

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday
Salary: $44.816 - $56.472 (Hourly) $93575.810 - $117913.540 (Annually)
