Job Description
Location: Oconee County GA
Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour (based on education credentials and experience)
Job Type: Full-Time Monday-Friday Daytime Hours

Role Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve healthy meals/snacks aligned with USDA & CACFP nutritional guidelines
- Oversee kitchen operations including sanitation menu planning and food safety compliance
- Maintain inventory order supplies and track costs with fiscal responsibility
- Supervise and guide kitchen assistants to ensure smooth operations
- Coordinate with teachers daily to confirm meal counts and special dietary needs
- Provide flexible support by assisting with light administrative or classroom tasks during non-meal times
- Maintain a safe clean and organized kitchen environment in line with Georgia DECAL licensing requirements
Required Education & Experience
To be considered for this role within a Georgia-licensed early childhood center candidates must have:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum 1 year of food service/cooking experience in a licensed childcare center school or healthcare setting
- Knowledge of CACFP guidelines and safe food handling practices
- ServSafe Certification (preferred or ability to obtain upon hire)
- CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred or ability to obtain)
