Job Duties

Provides administrative and programmatic support to the Medical/Nursing department in support of the unit and agency mission.

Updates and maintains records files and automated databases.

Maintains institutional health records in compliance with IOPs and medical protocols.

Assists with scheduling health/therapy sessions programs and groups for offenders.

Prepares copies of relevant documentation maintains files emails documentation and answers telephone calls.

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to research and analyze data in order to reach logical conclusions and prepare routine reports.

Experience providing customer service and administrative support to include word processing filing and other related duties in a professional office setting.

Additional Considerations

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret legal documents and release/discharge documents.

Administrative experience in a healthcare criminal justice court or law office setting.

Previous clerical experience in a medical environment.

Working knowledge of medical terminology and experience with medical records.

Demonstrated ability to set up and maintain automated and manual filing systems.
