Go Fish Bowl Llc in Sinking Spring PA is looking for one FRIDAY AND SATURDAY LINE COOK to join our 31 person strong team. We are located on 301 S. Hull St. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter ambitious and engaged.
Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation:
- Perform prep tasks like washing chopping and slicing ingredients and preparing sauces according to recipes.
- Cooking & Plating:
- Cook food items using various methods (grilling frying sauting) following recipes and established standards for consistency and temperature.
- Station Management:
- Set up and stock line stations with necessary food products and supplies and ensure items are properly portioned.
- Sanitation & Cleanliness:
- Maintain a clean and sanitized work station including all equipment and follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure all dishes meet quality and presentation standards before being sent to customers.
- Inventory & Waste Management:
- Monitor and manage food products ensuring proper rotation and minimal waste to control costs.
- Teamwork:
- Communicate with food servers help other kitchen staff during service and closing and be available to fill in where needed to ensure smooth operation.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Cooking Experience:
- Experience with various cooking methods and the ability to follow recipes and standards is essential.
- Food Safety Knowledge:
- A strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices is required.
- Organizational Skills:
- Ability to manage inventory organize stations and maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication:
- Clear communication skills to interact with servers and other kitchen staff.
- Physical Stamina:
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks related to food preparation.
