Our client is one of the lead project management companies for the rebuild and repair for residential and commercial customers affected by the Canterbury earthquakes.
This project will take responsibility for all customer insurance claims above the Earthquake Commissions cap of $100000 GST and works not covered by EQC.
Currently they have a team of Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors working within this project office but they are still seeking further skilled and experienced people to join the team.
In seeking applications we are looking for an Quantity Surveys that can offer a solid range of building/construction experience with the proven ability in managing relationships and managing the needs of individual property owners across multiple jobs that will be delivered simultaneously.
As such these will be challenging and at times demanding roles that will require a positive approach well developed communication skills and the ability to work with a range of builders/contractors in finding workable solutions in the delivery of insurance repairs and rebuilds.
The ability to understand and show empathy to the needs of property owners and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes are also very important requirements. We are then looking to identify those candidates that are self-motivated work well in a team based environment and who show good attention to detail in following defined documentation processes.
