Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ticketing Executive to join our travel operations team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in air ticketing especially with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) like Amadeus Sabre or Galileo. You will manage domestic and international ticketing operations including issuance reissuance fare construction cancellations refunds and liaising with clients and internal teams to ensure seamless travel arrangements.
Key Responsibilities:
- GDS Operations: Proficient handling of air ticket bookings using Amadeus Sabre or Galileo including PNR creation fare quoting and queue management.
- Ticket Issuance: Issue reissue and revalidate tickets for domestic and international routes accurately and in a timely manner.
- Fare Management: Identify the most economical and suitable routes and fares based on client requirements.
- Refunds & Cancellations: Manage cancellations and process refunds in line with airline policies and fare rules.
- Complex Transactions: Handle advanced ticketing tasks such as date/route changes split PNRs seat assignments and special service requests.
- Fare Rules Application: Interpret and apply airline fare rules and policies to ensure compliance and avoid ADMs.
- Client Coordination: Communicate with internal sales teams and clients (B2B/B2C) to understand needs and provide prompt ticketing solutions.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate ticketing records and prepare relevant reports for internal departments.
- Market Awareness: Stay informed about airline promotions policy changes and GDS system updates.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- GDS Proficiency: 23 years of hands-on experience with at least one major GDS platform (Amadeus Sabre or Galileo) is mandatory.
- Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of IATA regulations fare construction and air ticketing practices.
- Educational Background: Diploma or certification in Travel & Tourism or an IATA certification is preferred.
- Detail-Oriented: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of ticketing.
- Problem Solving: Ability to handle complex ticketing issues and manage multiple priorities under pressure.
- Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with MS Office and other travel software tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working across multiple GDS platforms.
- Knowledge of LCC (Low-Cost Carrier) portals.
- Experience in managing both corporate (B2B) and retail (B2C) clients.
- Multilingual abilities are a plus.
