Job Description Summary
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports the marketing communication and administrative needs of the office. The Coordinator is responsible for implementing a comprehensive communications strategy for the office and maintaining online student resources. The Coordinator also takes primary responsibility for administration of the offices software system for job postings employer recruiting and data collection.Job Description
Essential Functions:
Develops designs and distributes student/graduate newsletters. Collects data on open rates click rates and other engagement metrics to improve communications.
Creates and implements social media marketing strategies aimed at engaging employers students and alumni for OCPD annual recruiting programs and yearly student programming.
Maintains online Career Planning Guide adding and updating student resources and information as needed.
Works with Law Office of Marketing & Communications to maintain website and ensure consistency with law school communications strategy.
Collaborates with Assistant Dean Associate Director and Assistant Directors on organization and marketing of educational programming calendar.
Collaborates with Recruiting Coordinator to publicize fall and spring recruitment programs assists as needed on planning and execution of interview programs.
Maintains up-to-date employer student and alumni records in Symplicity.
Serves as office expert on Symplicity; stays current on service updates and features to ensure user-friendly experience; runs reports; evaluates tests and deploys new services and software as needed.
Assists with student employment data collection for annual reporting.
Stays abreast of developing technology that can benefit OCPD operations.
Collaborates with Law School IT Department on ways to streamline operations services and technology.
Assists in training new employees on use of office systems including Symplicity DeaconSpace and G-Suite applications.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Bachelors degree in communications public relations marketing or related field.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Ability to take initiative and manage projects with minimal supervision.
Preferred Education Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Demonstrated experience in managing marketing communications and social media.
Technical proficiency in database management word processing webpage creation and maintenance.
Enthusiastic willingness to work as part of a team.
Knowledge of legal job market.
