Design Innovationhas become essential drivers ofuser-centered transformationat Thales. To achieveseamless customer experiences and operational efficiency we embedhuman-centered design methodologiesinto our approach to innovation.
The Design Center Singapore established under the Innovation Hub in 2014 engages customers in collaborative design by leveraging Design Thinking and user-centric innovation. We explore uncharted innovation landscapes with customer end-users and partners developing new disruptive concepts and business strategies grounded in compelling value propositions. We aim to accelerate the adoption of human-centred methodologies unlock strategic opportunities and deliver impactful future-ready solutions.
Responsibilities:
Experience Design & Research
- Conductqualitative and quantitative researchto understand customer needs behaviors and pain points.
- Mapcustomer journeys service blueprints personas and value propositions to visualize end-to-end experiences to guide project direction.
- Identify opportunities toenhance customer interactionsand improve business processes usingdesign thinking methodologies.
- Conductuser research contextual inquiries and ethnographic studiesto gather actionable insights for improvements.
- Usesystems thinking and strategic foresightto shape future models and customer experiences.
Prototyping Wireframing & Visual Design
- Developlo-fi to hi-fi wireframes prototypes and experience mockupsto rapidly test and iterate ideas.
- Usevisual storyboarding sketches and interactive prototypesto communicate concepts effectively.
- Work closely withUX/UI designers and product teamsto ensure seamlessdigital and physical experience integration.
- Have agood grasp of visual design principles includinglayout hierarchy and accessibility to enhance service touchpoints.
- Leveragedesign tools (e.g. Figma Adobe XD Miro Sketch)to create interactive flows andtestable prototypes.
Service Innovation & Experience Design
- Co-create and prototype solutionswith customers internal teams and stakeholders to validate concepts before full-scale implementation.
- Applyagile and iterative design approachesto refine experiences based on user feedback.
- Designefficient models and workflowsthat align with bothbusiness objectives and user needs.
- Collaborate withengineers strategists and UX designersto align experience design with broader innovation initiatives.
- Advocate forhuman-centered inclusive and sustainable designprinciples across the organization.
Creative Facilitation
- Prepare Design Thinking workshops and facilitate sessions and design sprints
- Support design-led transformation efforts helping teams adoptexperience design practicesin their daily work.
- Conduct training sessions in Design Innovation
Requirements:
- 3 yearsof experience inexperience design UX design or design innovation.
- Strongresearch and facilitation skills includinguser research journey mapping and usability testing.
- Experience withdesign thinking methodologies and familiarity with agile experimentation.
- Strong experience inwireframing prototyping and visual storytelling.
- Proficiency indesign and prototyping tools( Adobe XD Miro & Sketch).
- Ability to createinteractive prototypesand communicate experience concepts clearly.
- Ability to work withcross-functional teamsand translate insights into tangible service improvements.
- Experience in design innovation withincomplex industriessuch asdefence cybersecurity aerospace and public services(preferred).
Other Information:
- Working Location: Suntec City
- Working Hours: Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm
- This position will start off on a 1-year contract renewable/convertible based on business requirements.
