OPC DIGITAL LEADER
Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)In this role you will have the opportunity to collaborate with key stakeholders to develop implement and facilitate successful onboarding of digital solutions and the adoption of digital platform and solutions into the customer business environment along with their subsequent operations and maintenance. Each day you will provide consultative assistance in supporting the use of products with the goal to improve productivity and efficiency. You will also showcase your expertise by helping the customers to achieve their solution goals and objectives by leveraging domain expertise and knowledge on ABBs digital solutions.

.This role is contributing to the to the Process Automation business in Energy Industries division based in Bangalore India.You will be mainly accountable for:
- Lead and execute Advanced Process Control (APC)/Optimizer projects through all phases including assessment plant testing design modeling configuration installation commissioning and post-audit.
- Implement ABB Ability APC/Optimizer/Loop Performance Monitoring technologies as a Lead Consultant/Engineer across sectors such as Chemicals Energy & Utilities Refinery & Petrochemicals and Fertilizers.
- Conduct APC/Optimizer studies and evaluations including proof of concept trials and user training sessions to ensure effective adoption.
- Support sales and marketing efforts to expand the APC/Optimizer business by providing technical expertise and customer engagement.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals for new projects including budget estimation and cost modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Customer Support and R&D to troubleshoot and resolve APC-related issues.
- Document and share best practices and lessons learned while developing standard processes and tools to enhance productivity and quality across projects.

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)- 12-15 years of experience of using the commercial APC softwares such as ABB Ability PnC Honeywell Profit Suite Aspen DMCplus / DMC3 Yokogawa SMOC etc.
- Candidates have experience in plant operations and expertise in APC control systems and Open Platform Communication OPC
- Prior experience of handling a complete APC project cycle from any of the following sectors :
o Cement/Metals & Mining/Pulp & Paper sectors
o Chemicals and Specialty Chemicals
o Energy and Utility
o Refinery and Petrochemicals - Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of advanced process control and experience in estimating engineering efforts.
- Strong leadership skills to effectively manage technical discussions and guide technical teams and developing standards tools for productivity improvement
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering or a related engineering degree. An advanced degree is preferred.
