First Shift (United States of America)Position Highlights:
The Clinic Nurse Lead position in Surgical Oncology will serve as the primary patient contact for our new Melanoma and Sarcoma patients. This position is mainly on the phones facilitating new patient visits testing getting all necessary records and imaging etc. for the new patient appointment with the surgeon. The Clinic Nurse Lead will be establishing a navigator role within Melanoma and helping to standardize in other areas in Surgical Oncology as well. This position is Monday Friday 8am to 4:30pm. No nights weekends or holidays. This position does not work in a clinic or surgical area.
The position is a hybrid work model of being in the administrative offices and working at home if desired. This position has lead responsibilities meeting regularly with Patient Coordinators and acting as a liaison to the Administrator of the Division.
Shift Details:
Full Time 1.0 FTE 40 Scheduled Weekly Hours
Monday - Friday Schedule 8-430PM

Job Duties: Lead Clinic Nurse
Responsible and accountable for delegating and coordinating nursing care with other staff and health care providers to meet the needs of patients. Ensure patient needs are being met at all levels of care. Problem solve and expedite communication with other health care providers to ensure optimal patient outcome.
Required Qualifications: Lead Clinic Nurse
Minimum of two years experience in a clinical setting required.
Bachelors degree in nursing (BSN) OR Associates degree in nursing (ADN) with 25 years of nursing experience required.
Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication required.
Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with colleagues required.
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska or current compact state required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification endorsed by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) department dependent required.
Preferred Qualifications: Lead Clinic Nurse
Prior med spa outpatient/physician office or health care related area preferred based on position.
Prior experience in a management/leadership position preferred.
Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree preferred.
Ability to speak read and write Spanish and English in some clinic settings preferred.
Knowledge of health care financial environment and reimbursement systems preferred.
Experience with typical office equipment (e.g. computer) preferred.
Effective critical thinking and analytical skills preferred.
Ability to prioritize and make independent clinical judgments preferred.
Leadership skills preferred.
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks and prioritize activities preferred.
Ability to problem solve with a well-defined approach preferred.
