Fire Protection Technical Lead

Location:UK Industry:Passive Fire Protection & Fire-Stopping


Join ROCKWOOL as ourFire Protection Technical Lead where youll head a talented team shaping the future of passive fire this strategic role youll drive pioneering fire-stopping solutions that save lives set new safety benchmarks and support the growth of ROCKWOOLs leading FirePro business.

Were looking for an expert leader who can combine deep technical knowledge with strong commercial awareness - guiding our clients partners and internal teams towardsindustry-defining solutions.

Your Role

Reporting to the Head of Technical youll lead the Fire Technical team to ensure ROCKWOOL FirePro products and systems are thepreferred choice in the UK construction market.

You will:

  • Act as thego-to technical authorityfor fire-stopping and fire protection projects
  • Manage and develop your team ensuring prompt and precise technical support
  • Provide expert design guidance to specifiers contractors consultants and project stakeholders
  • Oversee Engineering Judgements and Assessments aligned with regulations industry guidelines and ROCKWOOL policy
  • Collaborate across Product Management Commercial and Marketing to maintain acompliant world-leading product range
  • Keep our solutions at the cutting edge by maintaining knowledge of testing certification and regulatory changes
  • Ensure accuracy of ROCKWOOLs standard details and our technical library of non-standard solutions
  • Represent ROCKWOOL inindustry working groups trade associations and professional events

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in fire protection/fire-stopping within the construction industry
  • Fire resistance testing knowledge
  • A construction or fire engineering qualification
  • CAD literacy (AutoCAD essential) and ability to produce and adapt technical drawings
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience producing detailed technical reports and judgements
  • High IT proficiency (PowerPoint a key tool)
  • Ideally experience with 3rd party product certification and IFE Level 3 Certificate in Passive Fire Protection
