Managed Services is a business segment that supports the Customer Channels Group which provides critical on-site services at customer locations focused on research operations efficiency and effectiveness.
Position Summary
The Laboratory Support Team Lead manages and coordinates a team of 10 Laboratory Support staff to ensure reliable high-quality operational support for the pharmaceutical laboratory. This role combines leadership planning and compliance oversight with the ability to perform hands-on technical tasks when required.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day laboratory support activities including equipment maintenance solution preparation material management waste handling and logistics.
Plan and prioritize workloads to meet laboratory timelines and operational requirements.
Train mentor and develop team members to maintain high performance and compliance with GMP GSP and safety procedures.
Perform laboratory support tasks as needed to ensure service continuity.
Monitor compliance with SOPs hazard registers safety data sheets and documentation standards.
Coordinate external service schedules for calibration maintenance and inspection of laboratory equipment.
Act as primary point of contact for management quality teams and auditors.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency safety and quality.
KPI reporting and presentation to customers.
Qualifications:
Technical degree or equivalent experience in laboratory support operations under GMP.
Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a laboratory or technical environment.
Strong knowledge of laboratory processes safety and quality standards.
Experience in workload planning and personnel development.

Use a computer and possess intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
Flexibility beyond the normal business hours may be required.
Work Environment:
Laboratory-based leadership role requiring both desk work (planning documentation) and on-site technical presence.
Requires PPE when entering laboratory zones.
Some physical activity (transporting and organizing stock).
