Laboratory Support Team Lead (m/f/d)

Position Summary

The Laboratory Support Team Lead manages and coordinates a team of 10 Laboratory Support staff to ensure reliable high-quality operational support for the pharmaceutical laboratory. This role combines leadership planning and compliance oversight with the ability to perform hands-on technical tasks when required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead day-to-day laboratory support activities including equipment maintenance solution preparation material management waste handling and logistics.

• Plan and prioritize workloads to meet laboratory timelines and operational requirements.

• Train mentor and develop team members to maintain high performance and compliance with GMP GSP and safety procedures.

• Perform laboratory support tasks as needed to ensure service continuity.

• Monitor compliance with SOPs hazard registers safety data sheets and documentation standards.

• Coordinate external service schedules for calibration maintenance and inspection of laboratory equipment.

• Act as primary point of contact for management quality teams and auditors.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for efficiency safety and quality.

• KPI reporting and presentation to customers.

Qualifications:

• Technical degree or equivalent experience in laboratory support operations under GMP.

• Proven leadership or supervisory experience in a laboratory or technical environment.

• Strong knowledge of laboratory processes safety and quality standards.

• Experience in workload planning and personnel development.

• Flexibility beyond the normal business hours may be required.

Work Environment:

• Laboratory-based leadership role requiring both desk work (planning documentation) and on-site technical presence.

• Requires PPE when entering laboratory zones.

• Some physical activity (transporting and organizing stock).
