Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Python Microservices Developer to join our team in McLean VA. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in designing and developing microservices using Python frameworks (Flask or Django). This role requires the ability to work independently to build scalable secure and maintainable services.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop and deploy microservices using Python.
- Work independently to create APIs and backend services.
- Implement RESTful APIs for integration with other applications and platforms.
- Ensure performance scalability and security of microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Write clean reusable and testable code with proper documentation.
- Troubleshoot debug and optimize existing services.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of professional software development experience with Python.
- Strong experience in building microservices architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with Flask or Django (Flask preferred Django knowledge a plus).
- Experience with REST APIs and JSON-based integrations.
- Knowledge of cloud environments (AWS Azure or GCP) is an advantage.
- Proficiency with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with Docker Kubernetes or other containerization/orchestration tools.
- Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL).
- Exposure to agile development practices.
