Job Summary:
The IT Project Manager - Project Lead will be responsible for overseeing and managing IT projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills excellent communication abilities and a deep understanding of project management methodologies. The Project Lead will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time within scope and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage IT projects ensuring alignment with the College of Charlestons strategic objectives.
Develop project plans timelines and budgets; monitor progress and adjust as necessary.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT staff faculty and external vendors.
Facilitate project meetings providing updates and reports to stakeholders.
Identify and manage project risks and issues implementing mitigation strategies as needed.
Ensure adherence to project management best practices and methodologies.
Document project requirements specifications and deliverables.
Assist in the development of training materials and user documentation as necessary.
Foster a collaborative team environment and promote effective communication among team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology Project Management or a related field.
5 years of experience in IT project management with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile Waterfall).
Excellent organizational leadership and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in project management tools (e.g. Microsoft Project Trello JIRA).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
Experience in higher education or state government projects is a plus.
Full-time
